Here is an example of our Patagonia Ultimate Adventure – a bespoke active adventure that showcases the best of Southern Patagonia including Torres del Paine, El Calafate and Chalten, with a taste of Santiago and Buenos Aires.

Private wine tasting tour of Casa Blanca Valley. You will stop at two of the most renowned vineyards in Chile: Casa del Bosque and Bodega Re. You will spend the day getting a real taste of Chile through delicious wines and local food before arriving at the seaside city of Valparaiso in the afternoon.
An early flight will take you from Santiago de Chile to Punta Arenas in Southern Patagonia. From here you will be transferred to the iconic Torres del Paine National Park’s EcoCamp – a scenic 5 hour overland trip, stopping for lunch en route.
The next three days will be spent exploring the soarching peaks, icy valleys, glaciers, lakes and waterfalls of Torres del Paine National Park. With a plethora of hiking, climbing, nature drives and catamaran activities on offer you can be as active or relaxed as you like. Each day is planned in advance with your private guide.
Today you will drive across the Cerro Castillo/Cancha Carrera border into Argentina’s wind-swept steppes, and meet your guide for the next days. The journey takes you across vast barren landscapes, with views of the Fitzroy massif and the blue waters of Lake Viedma. Guanacos, rheas and Andean Condors are common sightings.

After a 40km drive from EcoCamp to Bahia Túnel, you will board a boat. on the amazing Viedma Lake, navigating icebergs to reach the face of the glacier. Here, your guide will introduce you to your ice gear, and teach you how to ice climb. Your night will be spent in Destino Sur in El Chaltén – a lovely mountain town with a very special energy.
Perito Moreno Glacier, in Glacier National Park, is one of the most famous geological sights in the world and one of the few glaciers in the world that remains stable. The glacier calves into Lago Argentino and every so often it is possible to see the huge lumps of ice break off and float away as icebergs.
An early morning flight will get you into Argentina’s colourful capital in time for an afternoon exploring San Telmo and a dinner at one of the best Argentinean steak houses: Gran Parrilla del Plata.
Explore the hidden corners of Buenos Aires in the company of your guide. You will learn about history, politics, architecture and art. Enjoy lunch near the Natural Reserve in one of the best places for ‘bondiola’ sandwiches (pork), a favourite amongst tourists and locals who work in the nearby areas.
Free day to explore Buenos Aires at your leisure.
Depart Buenos Aires
Our fishing expedition at Jurassic Lake, Patagonia lived up to our expectation of extreme fishing in terms of the challenging weather , geography and fishing conditions. We met anglers who essentially live to fish. But it also taught us that here regardless of who you are and what you do, what matters most is whether you have a good experience as all are here for the adventure and discovery of a once in a life time experience.
We will continue to search for the next epic experience and extreme grateful for all the kind people we met who are have made our trip most eventful. This photo best describes the place we spent the last 5 days fishing in Patagonia.
Words sent by Ambassador Zulkufli Baharudin after his Southern Patagonia Adventure organised by the Ice Tracks Team
A big thank you to the Ice Tracks team. Everything went seamlessly from our end made the whole trip an unforgettable experience. There was not a negative thought or moment on the whole journey. What’s next, I think this has invigorated me for more adventure holidays. Thank you for everything.
Don’t wait….go to Patagonia and see it with the experts. Ice Tracks, you exceeded all expectations !!!!
Simply, this trip was the ‘gift that just kept giving’. Our tailored 15 day tour of Patagonia was first class and your experience shone through with every location, guide, experience and resting place we enjoyed. Thanks again to the entire team at Ice-Tracks for a memorable experience.
We set off on what we hoped would be one of life’s great adventures. We succeeded – and the team at Ice Tracks played an integral part on the happiness of our trip. Great itinerary that went off without fault or incident. Highly recommend the team.
We thank you both for putting so much work into our trip to South America – we had the most incredible time and are already recommending it to our friends. Tessa Tennant & Lou de Marco from the UK travelled with Ice Tracks Expeditions to Patagonia, Atacama and the Amazons February and March 2014.
Southern Patagonia
We have had such a lovely time and thanks to Caro for all your hard work in putting together such a great trip. We have loved being so independent and stopping whenever we want for lots of scenery/coffee breaks and this has been the perfect way to do it.
We went to Lago Roca in the morning (no one else there – fabulous) and then the glacier in the afternoon and again no crowds – breathtaking glacier …. very special.
Northern Patagonia
Well here we are sitting in our lovely captains room at the hotel – beautiful views of the volcano and it was a gorgeous evening. We had a good morning driving lots of dirt roads on Chiloe and were fascinated by all the fish farms – lovely place and we enjoyed the Palafito and an exceptionally strong Pisco sour (which we needed) in town ….
Atacama Desert
It was a superb experience, and would recommend the astronomique excursion – fascinating. Loved San Pedro and the Altiplanico. Four nights was perfect.
